Honey is a natural product with unlimited shelf life. It can not grow mouldy or ferment, honey may only crystallize, because it is in nature and physical characteristics of honey. If you have crystallized honey, feel free to put it in a baking dish with a hot water (not too hot), and leave it by itself to melted and back into the liquid - a thick consistency. Also, what should know is the fact that microorganisms can not survive in the low water content in honey. You just have to keep it between the cool, dark place and in a tightly closed container. Never hold honey in the fridge.
Refined sugar is a food which by its nature is not an ideal place where the bacteria multiplied, so it can not spoil. This does not mean that sugar can kept in the humid place, it must be kept in a dry and clean place in a container with a lid.
3. Vanilla extract
Vanilla extract contain alcohol, which is added as flavour fixative, and it contributes to extract only matures over time, but aroma of vanilla after the opening will slowly weakened, but it will not spoil.
Salt belongs to the foods that if kept in a dry and dark place has an unlimited shelf life. However, if you are holding in a damp place salt will become hard and salinity will decrease.
Shelf life is only reserve for brown rice, which is oily and therefore its spoils, but you can extend the shelf life of brown rice if you preserve it in refrigerate.
6. Maple Syrup
